I have a data center installation with several Proliant DL380 G2 servers
running Windows 2000 Advanced Server. All the servers are managed via
remote desktop from another server running W2k Advanced Server.
One of the servers always performs a shutdown even though I carefully select
"Restart". Device Manager shows that the system recognizes that the DL380
is a multi processor, ACPI compliant server.
Any ideas as to why this one server always does a shutdown instead of a
restart? The other four DL380 G2s restart just fine when using remote
desktop. To my knowledge all five servers were built identically.
TIA
