Mike gets the credit - I was about to respond to your off-group email when I
thought 'maybe Mike has a better response'!!
You may be seeing a quicker response to your commands simply because you've
run SCANREG and rebuilt the registry without all the dross within it -
simply putting SCANREGW where it belongs is extremely unlikely to have
changed anything significant.
