All of a sudden when I do a seach for items in the Search Panel to the side I
can not go to web sites. I have restored my system re-instaled IE6 but the
problem still persists. Can anyone tell me what to do?

I realized after I sent this I was in the wrong area. I did install IE 7 and
then got rid of it. I have tried your suggestion and it does not work
Thank you

Hi Sue,

This is the wrong newsgroup, but that aside I assume that you have
previously installed and used IE7? and then re-installed IE6.

Try clicking the Customize button on the Search Panel to reset the default
search engines.

Regards.

I see in http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie7/default.mspx that
the recommended newsgroup is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In a proper newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

If you must use a web interface:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=...rosoft.
