Once the DC is gone, Delete anything DNS associated with
it. (If the DC is still a server leave its ordinary A, etc.,
records but should those be deleted you can reregister them
with "IPconfig /all".)
Assuming you really did the DCPromo "gracefully" while
everything was still working they SHOULD have been
removed.
