If this was my machine then I would restore the most recent
set of registry files from their backup location on the hard
disk. I have a scheduled job that creates them once every
week. This would take less than half an hour.
I suspect you do not have such a backup process. If so then
you have to load an auxiliary version of Windows into a folder
other than c:\Windows, followed by running ntbackup to
restore your System State from backup.
If you do not wish to do this then you have to reload your
system from scratch. This would be a good time to plan for
your next disaster and actually ***test*** your recovery plan.
