The XP machine doesn't need the 98SE drivers on it. The XP machine is
acting as a print server. The only thing the XP machine needs are it's own
drivers and enough hard drive space to store print jobs in a print queue.
Install the drivers on the 98SE machine then click Add Printer and choose
Network Printer. Follow the directions of the Add Printer Wizard. If the
SE machine can't find the XP machine you've probably got some other problem
such as a firewall, incorrect workgroup, your bypassing 98SE network logon
etc.
If it were me, I'd slap an inexpensive print server on the printer and
bypass the XP machine altogether, because every time you need to print from
the SE machine the XP machine has to be turned on. You can get a dozen
different print servers from a dozen different manufacturers for under
$60.00.
