I tried to print to PRN from DOS to a USB printer a while back and was
not able to succeed. That was with both win98se and Win XP.
An HP support engineer tried to help me but I finally gave up after a
week of trying different things.
There is a software that I have not tried, I don't remember the name,
that redirects PRN to a file and then prints the file with windows.

I tried to print to PRN from DOS to a USB printer a while back and was
not able to succeed. That was with both win98se and Win XP.
An HP support engineer tried to help me but I finally gave up after a
week of trying different things.
There is a software that I have not tried, I don't remember the name,
that redirects PRN to a file and then prints the file with windows.
