Hi there

Have been trying to install W95 to an old computer that
was given to me. It was previously running W98 but I was
not given the installation disk for that. I am using a
universal boot disk that succesfully did an install on
another older machine, which is now defunct.

The machine booted up okay and the CD Rom was recognised.
But after getting setup.exe going from the Windows CD,
the screen went black after a number of seconds and
nothing happened after that.

C: drive has already been formatted. The machine has a
second hard drive with a D: and an E: drive. I have not
erased those drives because I was hoping to hold onto
data.

Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers and ave a good one

if the C: drive is fat32
but your win95 is the original version win95 or win95a...
it can only be installed on a fat16 partition<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
