Which always makes fixing the problem rather more difficult.
I have to ask:
1) What do you mean be "resetting the registry"?
Which keys/values have you reset?
2) What "fix" have you installed?
I'm not clear from your post but are you saying that the Sharing tab does
not appear as an option on the properties of any of the drives or folders?
What is the version of the file MSSHRUI.DLL which should be in the
windows\system folder.
Using Regedit do you have the keys
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\SharingMenu
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\PropertySheetHandlers\MSSharing
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\SharingMenu
and
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shellex\PropertySheetHandlers\MSSharing
