Hi,

I have my driver build for windows xp x86 Free Build environment.I
want to install the driver in 64 bit AMD processor which has windows
xp professional x64 edition installed in it.
when I tried to install the driver I got an error saying that "Driver
is not intented for this platform".
so I tried building the driver for windows server 2003 x64 Free build
environment.
I tried to install this driver and this got installed successfully.
1.can we use the server build in windows x64 professional edition OS
with AMD64 bit processor.
2.why is there no x64 xp build in wdk(I am using wdk 6000).
I googled for an hour and foung many postings telling that windows
server 2003 x64 build can be used.
Can anybody confirm this.
Is there any Microsoft Link telling us to use server 2003 x64 build
for windows x64 professional edition. If there is any link can anyone
post the link

Thanks in Advance

XP 64 is Windows Server 2003, so use the 64 bit server build, you cannot
load a 32bit driver on x64.
