Post subject: x64 Windows 2003 Print Server and x86 XP Pro Clients Printing Prob
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>print_fax (more info?)

I have a x64 print server and my clients are x86 machines. I successfully
installed the print driver on the server with a x64 driver. Then added the
x86 driver successfully.

The problem that I am having is that I have a color Konica-minolta
copier/printer and want the default to be set at greyscale. I set the
printing defaults and printing
preferences to default to greyscale. When I install on the x86 machines the
default reverts back to color. Yet, when I install on x64 machines the
default is greyscale.

When I change the defaults on the machine locally and try to print
(including Word, Acrobat Reader) the color setting reverts back to color.

Any and all help will be appreciated
