2 of my games will not work. Zoo tycoon 2 and Age of Empires 3, both
mircrosoft.
They have the same problem; i put the cd in, the menu comes up with "play,
uninstall, web, ect." and then I click play, and... NOTHING HAPPENS! My
computer acts like its doing something but nothing happens. Also, if I click
the shortcut, nothing happens.
The weird thing is.. that Zoo tycoon 2, used to work, but now it doesn't.
At first I though Age of Empires 3 didn't work because of the video card,
but I checked to see if it was okay and it was. What do I do?

That usually happens if you are trying to play the game from a
backup disc and not the original. The copy protection is kicking
in. If you have the original discs and it's not starting then it
could be that you need to update your drivers. Or if you are
already current then perhaps you could try an older driver version.
I had to rollback to older drivers with Broken Sword 4 to get it to
play right.

They are both originals.
I'll try the driver, thanks

You probably already know this but it's wise to uninstall before
the upgrade.

There's a great program for cleaning up files that are left behind
after using the uninstall program. Driver Cleaner Professional
(freeware) It works with Nvidia, ATI, Creative, Realtek and some
others.

Driver Cleaner Pro download:
