Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>general (more info?)
Short of buying some program. is there a way to undelete files from a PC even
if it's gone from the recycle bin?

Have a look on Google. There are dozens of undelete tools,
some of them free.

but when you are searching and downloading...
be sure to use another computer.
The more you use yours...the greater the chances of overwriting the data
