Hi,
Is there any way to find out some information about what is considered to be
a part
of the trusted computing base in Windows XP?

Thank you

I don't understand the question - can you repost with more information as to
what you're actually looking for / trying to do?

I'm trying to get some information in as much detail as possible about what
components of Windows XP are considered essential in enforcing its security
policies (i.e. if these components have vulnerabilities or bugs in them the
security of the OS can be compromized). Thank you, Irina.

That's a very broad question, and difficult to answer. There's no such list
compiled, that I know of. Make sure you keep your systems patched and up to
date, run good realtime antivirus software, and have a good firewall....

You might also try running the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer -
