Should I depend solely on system restore or do you recommend using Norton go
back also??? I have Norton system works and it is available on the same disk.

System restore is not a backup. You still need to backup.

Hi Phil,

System Restore is not a backup tool. It is a tool for restoring system files and
the Windows registry. System Restore is best used as soon as possible after a
problem is detected. I would suggest using System Restore over Norton Go Back.

Here is a description of System Restore:

As far as backing up files goes, I would suggest making incremental backup of
data files to a separate partition/drive or burn them to a CD/DVD.

For a long term backup, imaging software is a good choice.
Acronis True Image is a good choice.

Reboot system to new - How do I reboot my computer so that it's like it was the day I bought it? My cpu seems to always run at 100% and I can't figure out why so I want to start over.
