Post subject: Here is a strange one

In Windows XP Pro SP2 the background for the scrollbars is white instead of
colored so you can see the scrolling area. Because the scrollbar background
is white you can only see the scrollbar slider and the upper and lower
arrows. I changed themes and tried various things to fix it but nothing
works. I believe that a direct registry hack is required, since there are no
color settings available in Display Properties - Appearance - Advanced -
Scrollbar.

Have you tried turning
off your themes services?

See how it looks with and
without the service enabled...

Well this system acquired RAID problems and had to be restored from backup.
The restore ended the problem altogether and the system is fine now. Thanks
