Post subject: start>Search results in explorer.exe high 99 CPU Get Alert
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>perform_maintain (more info?)

Just tonight, when I attempt to run Windows XP Search from Start>Search,
Windows fails to display the search dialog and Task Manager reveals that
explore.exe very shortly (5-10 seconds) becomes pegged at 99% CPU.

This morning or yesterday evening, Start>Search worked fine. Any procedures
to repair this behaviour will be appreciated.

Now remember, don't ask me to "search" for some file or something, because
if I attempt to Search it hangs my pc in a cpu loop.

Running Windows XP SP2.
