cant save pictures

Post subject: cant save pictures
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>newusers (more info?)

I have tried to save numberous pictures and even tried to e-mail some
with no luck well here is the problem when I try to save a picture itr gives
me two choices save as bitmap or art
there is no choice of jpeg I know I need to save as jpeg but not sure how to
when there isn't that coice

To empty your Temporary Internet Files cache
1. In Internet Explorer, click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
2. On the General tab, click Delete Files.

Close IE, restart IE - has that fixed the problem?
