I am running WinXP, and my drives are in Raid 1 (mirror)
configuration. Is it safe to defrag the disk using SpeedDisk or to fix
it using DiskDoctor?

Thanks.

Generally speaking, yeah it's ok, the raid array is "below" the defrager
and it shouldn't make any difference.

But those 2 Norton tools are not the best, you should double check what
versions you have and verify that they're new enough to do it right by
checking their spec's at the Symantec site.

I know that Disk Doctor nowadays simply invokes chkdsk and reports its
results, it does not do its own checking anymore.
