I sure hope I can avoid reloading XP. The main symptoms of the problem are
that Windows is very slow. Windows explorer is unprecictable and when a
large folder is accessed the machine freezes, Outlook will only download new
messages part of the time and when printing a message a script error pops
up. The message is "an error has occured in the script on this page. Line
1344. It is an unspecified error"
I uninstalled OE7 but it did not fix the prob. I tried to use system
restore to a week earlier but that did not fix it. when I tried to back
further I found that all my restore points had been erased.
I tried using the Microsoft help chat but their advise caused my machine to
crash midway so I lost the link. I tried again and got some goof that told
me to buy a new windows XP program and reload it.
Would you have any thoughts that may help?
