Hi Everyone,
I made my 1st "ubcd4win" disc ( a bootable recovery&repair disk), with the
plug in "disable Norton goback " enabled. I did so because I wanted to use
Acronis True Image 10 from the bootable disc and GoBack has to be disabled
for TI 10 to work.
After booting to the ubcd4win cd, I clicked on the Norton Goback button,
and it started the Goback boot menu. That menu kept giving me these prompts,
" A:\ ", I couldn't figure out how to exit that PC-DOS page, so I ( BIG
MISTAKE ) , turned off my computer and then restarted my computer.
Instead of starting normally, it took me to the Windows boot menu, and I
believe it said Windows failed to start and gave me some options for
attempting to restart Windows. I selected the " Start from the last know good
configuration " and Windows did restart, but with this message :
" Windows - Registry Recovery.... One of the files containing the system's
registry data had to be recovered by use of a log or alternative copy. The
recovery was sucessfull."
I don't know how much I messed up my computer. Or what, if any, can be done
about it. Right now Windows always starts up, but it always displays the
message I listed above, after a restart.
Could this cause my computer to eventually crash at a later time?
And if so, could trying a clean boot help with the problem?
Your feedback will be appreciated !
Thanks.
