Actually, I thought that there was a possibility of the machine ID being
corrupt and that I may be able to possibly change it. I got as much from
several error messages I recieved while trying to work around this myself.
Unfortunately I've only been able to reproduce the error message while in
Safe Mode and it states that the machine ID can't be changed in safe mode.
If i'm getting a message claiming an incorrect or corrupt machine ID it
sure seems to me that it would be coming from the OS.
