Use a Restore Point from within System Restore. Those files are system
files and should be properly placed back by the Restore Point. You cannot
download the games from Microsoft, and I would strongly suggest you obtain a
retail version of Windows XP if you're going to continue to have problems.

Chris, I have lost all of my original Windows XP Games, too. I HAVE my XP CD
and the games absolutely will not download even from the CD. Do you have any
other suggestions? I'm in FreeCell withdrawal!!!!!

Most of the games are in the %SystemRoot%\System32\ directory, like your
FreeCell is freecell.exe, Hearts is mshearts.exe, etc., etc., so all you
would need do is right-click on an empty spot on your desktop, select New
and then Shortcut and Browse to the location of freecell.exe and highlight
it. That will create a clickable icon for your game. You can also drag
that around anywhere you'd like, perhaps to your Taskbar, QuickLaunch Bar or
even drop it onto your Start Menu. Or just leave it.
