Every time I clear cookies I lose easy access to some sites.
Is there any way or anywhere on web to determine what each cookie does or
what it is associated with?
I would like to set them as unremovable in my spyware program.

Don't remove cookies from websites where you want to have easy access.

Thats my point. Which cookies are to which websites as they all have cryptic
names.

You have to figure that out. We can't.

I would get CCleaner, (freeware). It allows you to delete the cookies you
don't want, and save the cookies you do want. Run CCleaner once to erase
everything. Then go to each of the sites you want to keep cookies for. Open
CCleaner and add these cookies to the Save file and only use CCleaner to
delete cookies in the future.

What Bruce said.

Another method is to go to Control Panel > Internet Options > Privacy
tab > Sites button, where you can choose which websites can always set
(and access) cookies and which cannot. But, like Bruce said, only you
can decide which websites to allow and block.

There are many programs that show all your cookies and the web sites
to which they relate. And you can delete them individually.

The one I use is:-

IECookiesView

It is available as FREEWARE from:-

Above is the info page about it.
It is also a zipped file.
But, a great little program.

What Bruce and Leonard said - PLUS

Review the Privacy handling settings on your computer. Many tracking
cookies point to external URLs, which are unrelated to the website your
are viewing.

You could select Advanced settings, to override automatic cookie
handling. Then, change the setting for Third Party Cookies to "Prompt",
(plus "Always allow session cookies").

Initially, you will receive lots of prompts for cookies, which point to
2o7.com, adserver.com and similar tracking sites. You will have the
opportunity to block more and more of these cookies. Over a period, the
number of prompts will fall - and when you clean accumulated cookies,
there will be much less dross for deletion.
