My data is mostly on drive letter H: while sys files are on C:. I use WinZip to create interim backups and other space saving tricks. There are some folders, about 8 of them, wherein lie many Zip files, some of which are quite large.
I wish to search the entire H: drive for a file name or content that I have lost / forgotten. The search function insists on decompressing and reading through all the Zip files. This takes too long and is painful to watch all that unnecessary thrashing.
I could select each folder from H:\ root individually and then uncheck those with Zips. That is almost as bad. javascript:emoticon('

Is there a way to tell the XP search function to skip compressed files?
