I wonder why wrong icons are displayed in the notifications list, showing prior notifications. (Right click on Task Bar - choose Customize on Task Bar tab and look for the prior Notifications part of the Notification window - you can change the action between Hide when inactive, Always hide or Allways show). The odd thing is the icons are, for some notifications, related to applications and utilities that has absolutely nothing to do with the notification. An icon mismash. I tried to run the Tweak UI Win XP Utility - Rebuild Icon cache. But it did not help. Is there a way to correct the above incorrect icon appearance. I'm quite familiar to operate in the registry.
