Post subject: WoW Keybindings + Config Not Saving Get Alert
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>games (more info?)

I've talked to multiple users about this problem, it took me over 1 month to
resolve due to AVG and Kaspersky not detecting this for some reason.

If every time you exit WoW and your custom keybindings and addon
configurations are not saved, this is the problem.

--------------------------
Scan your hard drive(s) for the following files

C:\Windows\svchost.exe - (NOT to be confused with
C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe which is legit)
mouse.dll
mouse[1].dll
wzcsvbc.dll

If they are found, here's some removal instructions that were posted on the
forum;

Removal Instructions for Unknown Trojan
-
Boot into safe mode by restarting your computer, and holding F8 before
Windows loads. You will be given a list of Boot Options, Select Safe Mode
Command Prompt only.

This will bring you to a DOS window, where you'll be typing some commands to
reveal these files to Windows, allowing you to delete them.

Once Command Prompt is done loading, enter the following commands:

cd c:\Windows\System32\
attrib -s -h wzcsvbc.dll
attrib -s -h mouse.dll
del wzcsvbc.dll
del mouse.dll

Restart normally and begin the cleaning process.
