Hi! Some weeks ago, my Acer Aspire T630 (XP MediaCenter) started to do unusual things. When: a) I am logged in about an hour and b) Many (Starting from 10) programs are opened XP beeps (like a warning message is opening) when I want to open a new window or browse my folders in explorer. In some windows the menu bar is not shown (File, Edit, ...). I can fix the problem temporarily when I kill explorer.exe in Taskmanager and restart it via taskmanager->File->Execute->"explorer".
