When Windows boots it opens to my folders

Post subject: When Windows boots it opens to my folders
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>perform_maintain (more info?)

When Windos XP Home Ed. boots, it automatically opens do my folders menu and
not to to my regualr desktop. How do I change this so once my pc boots, it
will show my normal screen/ wall paper and not my folders.

Control Panel > Folder Options > View tab
Uncheck "Restore previous folder windows...."
Click OK
