I have a Windows XP Pro SP2 Dell Computer. Recently it started freezing and
could no nothing. I restarted the computer in Safe Mode and restored from
earlier date System Restore snap-Shot. Now the computer starts ok but after
logging in as administrator there are no icons on the desktop neither can I
see the taskbar. Even the Start Menu is NOT showing when I press the Windows
key or CTRL+ESC. I cannot get the Windows Explorer, Control Panel etc. How
can I sort out this problem please?
Regards,
Mwenda. >> Stay informed about: After Windows XP SP2 Restore-No Icons on Desktop and no Ta.. |

I am having a similar problem. I am working on a machine for a
friend, and the desktop is blank, no task bar, no right-click
capability etc. I can launch applications from the task manager, but
when I run explorer.exe, I watch the task bar flash briefly, then
dissapear again. If you find resolution, please update the thread
here.
