Post subject: Windows XP Security Problem
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>security_admin (more info?)

I have a network setup where I am running Small Business Server 2000 on the
server with a domain setup.

One of the workstations is running Windows XP Pro SP 2 (although the same
behavior was happening before I installed SP 2). On that workstation after
it is booted it can see the network and use the network printers. I am
logging on to that workstation as a user with Admin rights for the domain.

Once that workstation has been logged onto the network for an hour or so it
can no longer see the server or use the network printers. At this point the
server can still see the files on that workstation through Explorer.

This has been going on for quite some time.

I am totally puzzled as to what is going, why and how to fix it. Help!!

Thanks.
