Whenever I try and access any document in Word, I get the following
pop-up message "Norton Antivirus 2005 does not support the Repair
feature, please uninstall and reinstall". I checked out the Norton
page but there's nothing to help me get rid of the message or what it
even means. Similarly with the Microsoft knowledge page, there's
nothing that will help. Anybody know how to get rid of the message or
even which has to be reinstalled - XP, Norton?

Cheers

It sounds like your NAV might be a tad broken. Hope it is still working
to protect your computer. When the subscription expires, I don't
recommend you upgrade to NAV 2007 but rather suggest you use a better
and less bloated/invasive antivirus. Recommended programs are Kaspersky,
NOD32, Avast, and I use F-Prot 6 on my Windows machines.

In the meantime as a workaround, open NAV and disable the MS Office
plugin. That option is somewhere in NAV's preferences.

Many thanks, Malke - very helpful. NAV is about to expire very soon.

Cheers
