Post subject: Windows Live Messenger Auto Logon
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>messenger (more info?)

I've got two PCs at home both running Windows XP and Windows Live Messenger,
one automatically logs on Messenger at boot time while the second PC does
not. Logging in manually on the second PC works just fine and Messenger runs
smoothly after that. The settings on both computers are the same which I've
checked and rechecked a number of times. I uninstalled and reinstalled
Windows Live Messenger on the second PC but still no auto logon. The Event
Viewer offered no clues so I'm asking for some help. Any ideas on why
Windows Live Messenger on PC #2 will not auto logon would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Dick
