My XP startup now says " Failed to initialize Windows Defender error code:
ox800 106ba

Please advise if you know what I should do thank you

Hi,
This problem occurs because the beta version of Windows Defender expired on
December 31, 2006. Download and install the final version of Windows
Defender from the link below:

I have been getting the same message. I have McAfee, I don't know if I'd have
to download Defender. Would it interfer with McAfee, or other applications
that I now have?
