Post subject: Vidio choppy with no audio on all dvd's
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>video (more info?)

Windows xp, nice ADI vidio card, no aftermarket sound card, 760 meg ram,
2.79 GHz on a Dell Demensions 3000.
I have had this problem for nearly the past year. I've swapped out the dvd
drive 2 times with no improvement. I've taken it to 2 repair shops with no
luck. The vidio will "stutter" or "lag" to the point that it becomes
unwatchatable and the audio must be turned all the way up to even hear it and
it is choppy as well. I increased the paging file range to 1000-1700 and it
runs around 1150 right now, and adjust from best perfomace of programs to
system cache and that didn't help. Anyone have any suggestions? This happens
with ALL dvd's.

Do I need a motherboard, a new brain, or a trash can?
