What TV Tuner card is in your computer?

Have you tried installing/updating the drivers for the tv tuner card?
Does the device show up as properly installed in Device Manager?

I am having this same problem as well. I purchased my HP machine in August,
and everything has worked flawlessly up until a couple moths ago. I have two
external ATI Digital Cable Tuners and two PCI ATI Theater 650 cards for
over-the-air HD. Installation was a no problem, and everything worked fine
until the beginnng of April, when I installed EA Games' FIFA 08 on the
machine. This game uses SecuROM Copy Protection, which completely messed up
my ability to watch Live TV (I have seen other posts on other forums from
people who can back this statement up, though SecuROM has done nothing to fix
the issue).

The issue is that I can record TV, but if I select a program from the guide
as normal, it either crashes the system or tells me that it cannot play the
program, or gives me a "restricted content" error. I did everything I could
to uninstall SecuROM, but I was still having problems (it seemed to work at
first, but eventually started doing the same thing). I decided to restore my
system to the original factory settings, which was a big pain. Now,
everything seems to be in order, but when I try to set up TV, it tells me
that I have no tuners installed. All four of my tuners have up-to-date
drivers and show up fine in Device Manager. What could possibly be the issue
here?

I've seen a couple people saying that I need to uninstall the last few MS
updates, bt I'd rather not have to do that. Any thoughts would be greatly
appreciated.
