Post subject: TEMP files will NOT delete.
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>help_and_support (more info?)

I'm using Windows XP HOME with service pack.

My problem is that I have three files in the TEMP folder that I cannot
delete:

1. http://www.seriouseats.com/css/iesucks.css (this particular file is
VERY strange!)

2. http://a.sc.msn.com/c/my/go_over.gif

3. (this seems to be an image of some sort)

Are any of these files harmful? Why will they NOT delete? Any way to force
their deletion?

Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Hi Bugsy:

Download a small program named Killbox to delete any weird things that won't
delete in the normal way.

Also I recommend CCleaner and there is an Unlocker program I've been using
lately to 'unlock' items.

You can Google for all of these.

Have you tried in Safe Mode from Windows Explorer?

Hope this helps.
