Post subject: Saving Documents in XP when using GPO
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>security_admin (more info?)

Hello my name is Ed, and I work for a public library.

what I am trying to do is to allow the public users to save any word
document in the Desktop and Desktop only.
I am very familiar with Windows GPO and have work very well for me with
windows 2000 prof. Resenly we upgraded some of our computers to WinXP Pro and
the public can't no longer save to the Desktop. (What did i Miss) I realize
that security is better in XP Pro, but why or i guess how can I save to the
Desktop in XP pro.

Any idea? Please help!
