Post subject: Repair SP2 ?
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>general (more info?)

I have a problem (can't show Language bar) which was supposedly corrected in
SP2 but was not, at least on my comp.. I have had SP2 since it came out.
Is there any way to repair/remove/replace SP2 ?

Actually, if you look at the items fixed in SP2, my problem isn't there, yet
all the MS docs say it is there. KB555249 says to correct grayed out
'Language Bar' under Text Services/Settings (this is my problem) go to 16
bit display - doesn't work. KB 811113 lists fixes in SP2, however only
reference is 819783 re: turning bar back on after turning it off. I can't
get it turned on to begin with.

Any suggestions?
Dave
