I have a .exe that won't run on XP Pro unless the logged-in user has
administrator previleges.

Seeing as we don't want users to be configured has administrators, or let
them have the admin password, is there no way of getting them to be able to
lanch the program in question with a RUN AS that is shaved so that we don't
have to reconfig it everytime the app is run ?

thanks
Steve

I suppose you might be able to write a batch file that would
automatically supply the Admin password - I suspect that's beyond my
knowledge...the other alternative is to install the application by
Remote Desktop...

The RUN AS cmd doesn't seem to accept a password parameter, unless supplied
'on the fly'.
Unfortunately it's not an install problem. The app in question is supplied
with Thinkpad laptops and is necessary to switch the wlan radio on and off.
( Can't understand why one should be epected to be an administrator to do
that ).

At this point the whole RUN AS thing doesn't seem to have much sense to me.
If one has to have the admin password to use it, he might just as well put
himself in the admin group and save himself the hassle.
