I own 4 computers: 2 desktops and 2 laptops. I'm able to connect to
my job's Remote Desktop on 1 of the laptops and 1 of the desktops.
The other 2 give me the following error: "The remote computer
disconnected the session because of an error in the licensing
protocol. Please try connecting to the remote computer again or
contact your server administrator."
I have tried clearing out the MSLicensing keys in the registry and
verified that TermService is running. All of the computers are set up
exactly the same and are running XP Pro SP2. I need to get RDC
working on all of my computers and I am stumped as to how to resolve
this issue.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Have you reboot the computer? If yes, can you telnet port 3389?

Yes, I have rebooted the computer. Telnet to the server results in
the screen going blank and a flashing cursor...no error message.
I am able to pull up the Terminal Server web access page (IPaddress/
tsweb), but clicking on the Connect button results in an error: The
client could not establish a connection to the remote computer...
Remote Desktop is checked as an exception in Windows Firewall.
I have spent numerous hours troubleshooting this. I cannot figure out
what is different on my 2 machines that work just fine with this same
server!
Thanks for the reply, Bob.

I get the same error message when Windows Firewall is disabled. All
of my computers are behind the same NAT router, so I know that isn't
the issue.
Can't connect through Safe Mode. On my laptop, I was getting this
error on a clean install of XP.
