I've been told that Protégé will not run using the Media Center Editon. I
and a tech person at Notion Music have tried almost everything but can't get
it to run. A store personal where the software was purchased said that it
will not run on Media Editon. I really would like to use the program and I
have Windows XP Home Edition on disk. When I try to reload the Home Edition
I get a message saying that this is not an update and it will not load. Is
there a way to switch the two system without losing everything on my hard
drive? With the older windows I have done this.

A dual boot system.

It is possible, if you have enough room on a separate partition from the
Media Center OS.
