Hi, All:
We have a SBS to which we connect remotely using
https://ourdomain.com/remote. One XP Pro SP2 (entirely updated) laptop has a
problem connecting via RWW (Remote Web Workplace). The user can logon, but
when he tries to connect to either on-site computers or the on-site terminal
server, a message is displayed:
---
vbscript error: remote desktop connection
An invalid server name was specified
---
Laptop can connect via RDP when on the LAN. User can use another
workstation (or, say, home system) for RWW connection. It's just this laptop
that has an issue. I think it might have something to do with ActiveX
controls in IE 6. If anyone has any insights or suggestions, I'd really
appreciate the help.

Make sure the computer doesn't have firewall or security software blocking
port 4125 or modify the MTU. This search result may help. Please post back
with the result.

As the system sits behind a hardware firewall when it is remote, I've turned
down its third-party firewall software to no avail. I would also point out
that other systems (desktop computers) at the same remote location are using
the same third-party firewall software and are entirely able to connect via
RWW. May I ask (without sounding incredibly stupid) how I would know whether
the MTU were modified?

Connecting Remote - How do I connect to a remote desktop to my laptop from my PC? I type in the address and a pop up asks for a username and password. I dont use a password to log on to xp. How do I find this? Is there something else I should be doing? Thanks.
