Post subject: Printer from a server through remote desktop
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>print_fax (more info?)

I'm located in Maryland and connect to a server in Iowa through Remote
Desktop. I need to be able to print files from that server to my local
printer, but am having a ton of trouble doing so. The printer is a local
network printer, and I have all the IP/ Port information, but have had no
success. A friend mentioned I may need to set up a Virtual Network, but
don't know if this is necessary or even how to go about doing so. My local
machine runs XP, and the server is Server 2008 (x64).Any help would be great.
