I have a HP Photosmart 8250 printer. It has been hooked to my computer(via
USB) for a year. Just recently the printer disappears and windows finds new
hardware and reinstalls the printer. I have been working with HP and have
done everything they have sugested and the problem is still there. can anyone
offer any help?

Not without knowing what you have tried. All we really know from your post
is that you have serious printer problems.
