Hi Dave,

The extended partition can hold as many logical drives as drive space and
remaining alphabet letters permit.

FAT is not an operating system - it is a file system
(File Allocation Table).

You can create as many logical partitions as you have
letters in the alphabet. The number is independent of
the file system.
