I think you are talking about the plug-in that NERO adds to Windows Media Player.
It is NOT a plugin. It uses lots of plugins and it is a full suit of applications.

Nero itself is not a plug-in, it's a CD mastering program.

Dave, I'm also inquisitive about NERO. It came with my R/W drive and said
it was necessary to dowload it! Nevertheless, I found that I did not have to
activate it to R/W. However ever time I try to find out how it functions it
keeps wanting to be the master of control for all data, music, etc.
