After much shuffling around I think my system will DL and install XP
Pro updates, but it will not install MS Windows Installer 3.1, no
matter what I do. I even DL'd it and tried to install it manually,
but got the msg that ACCESS DENIED. As I understand it, 3.1 is not
absolutely required, but it would be nice if things worked for a
change. Any ideas?
