I have FSX Deluxe and think it is a great game. However I have one problem.

The sound is very poor. It crackles on and off and I can not hear the ATC
voices properly. The problem occurs whilst I am flying any aircraft, on any
view. I am sure it is a technical problem with the game or my PC, however, I
don't think it is the engines miss firing or anything like that.

The sound comes on clear for one second, and then turns completely off for
one second as though it has been muted.

This is a very annoying problem, and I hope I can sort it out soon.

Thanks,
JM

What is your sound card and what is your graphics card? This may be
happening because the graphics are so demanding that the video card is
hogging all the resources and not giving enough to the soundcard. You
can sometimes fix this by changing latency in the bios. You have DMA on
for your HDD too?
