I'm Getting this error: '"Media Center Receiver Service has
encountered a problem and must close". now the steps I've taken to
try to remedy this is. I tried to disable both media center items
using msconfig. now i was receiving this error before i re-installed
my windows after a re-format of the hard drive. I'm still getting it.
so disabling MCE didn't help what's left to fix this. or how do you
remove and re-install Media Center.

Try a System Restore back to a point when it last worked properly.

Media Center Receiver Service - After installing and reinstalling WinTV-PVR I get this message every 10 seconds or so. Media Center Receiver Service has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Any help? Old Professor p-henry@comcast.net
